President Trump is in the mountains of Switzerland for a few days to attend the Davos World Economic Conference, where he will mingle with fellow world leaders and a coven of the planet’s most wretched oligarchs and sociopathic predators, where they will congratulate each other for hoarding the world’s wealth and driving billions of people into abject poverty and strategize as to how to make themselves richer.
But it appears our thin-skinned president will have an upsetting surprise awaiting him on his way to the conference that spells out in no uncertain terms how the people of Switzerland feel about his attendance:
ein Team von 7 KlettererInnen hat heute mit Erfolg eine starke Botschaft an Donald Trump gesendet. Sie haben die 60 Meter lange Botschaft: Trump not welcome! in die Wand des Elhorns bei Sargans gehängt, währenddem die 8 Helikopter von Trump vorbeiflogen. #WEF2018 @wef pic.twitter.com/nbNgAbRWjI

This banner, hung on a mountainside by the Campax nonprofit, makes it clear that Trump’s virulent brand of toxic politics is not welcome in their nation.
In a statement, Campax condemned Trump’s “racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, sexism, hostility towards women, warfare, denial of climate change, attacks on human rights and a policy that deepens poverty and inequality.”
Campax is devoted to working for “a fair and green economy and for a society that is founded on solidarity and compassion” – an ideal that is the stark opposite to the dark world of division, unchecked greed and reckless exploitation that Trump has in store for us.
Trump will certainly not appreciate this blow to his ego before he even arrives at the main event.
