A Florida shooting survivor just hilariously trolled Paul Ryan for his negligent inaction on gun violence

- Februari 28, 2018

The students who survived the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida may be back in school, but their activism on social media for action on gun control legislation is continuing unabated.

Cameron Kasky, one of the more visible of the student activists and one of the co-founders of the student-led advocacy group Never Again MSD, discovered upon returning to school that reminders of the need for continued rabble-rousing on behalf of passing new gun restrictions surrounded him everywhere he turned.

He went on Twitter to share what he found:

Minimalism has a long and admirable history in the worlds of art and music,  but as Cameron Kasky so aptly demonstrates, it is not a technique or style that garners acclaim when 17 of your friends, classmates, and teachers have been brutally and unnecessarily murdered because of the too-easy availability of military-grade weapons and ammunition to people who should not have them.

Kasky should earn automatic A’s in school this semester in English for his keen understanding of irony, in Social Studies for his unceasing activism, and in Communications for his deft use of social media.

At this point, universities are likely clamoring for him and his fellow student activists to apply to their schools since their exceptional talents have been made manifest for the whole country to see. If Kasky should decide to skip higher education for a while after he graduates high school, however, he could also pursue a career as a writer for late-night comedy talk shows with the wit and imagination he’s shown so far.
