It seems President Trump has slipped into choppy waters again amidst the fallout surrounding his affair with adult-film star Stormy Daniels and the $130,000 hush money she received in exchange for her silence.
Recently, reports have surfaced that “President Deals” failed to sign the non-disclosure agreement he forced upon Ms. Daniels (whose real name is Stephanie Clifford), prompting her to try and speak out about the alleged affair she carried out with the president while First Lady Melania Trump was pregnant with their son, Barron.
Since his negotiation skills are one of Trump’s top-touted traits, he did what any good negotiator would do – he ignored his alleged former lover, which is now costing him bigly.
A lawyer for Daniels told Bloomberg News that in an effort to speak freely about her time with Mr. Trump, she sent a letter to Trump’s legal team offering to pay back the $130,000 she had received as part of her presidential gag-order. The letter apparently went unacknowledged.
Daniel’s lawyer, Michael Avanetti, responded in a way certain to get Trump’s attention – he tweeted about it.
“The president and Mr. Cohen have purposely ignored our settlement offer, thus doubling down on their efforts to muzzle Ms. Clifford and prevent her from telling the American people what happened,” Avenatti tweeted. “Time to buckle up.”

The letter was apparently drafted by Avanetti himself and addressed to Michael Cohen, a long-time personal lawyer for the Donald. It promised, on behalf a Ms. Daniels, to wire the hush-money back to an account of Trump’s choosing, and in turn, the Non-disclosure Agreement would officially be null.
Cohen and Trump were given until Tuesday, March 13th at noon to respond to the request.
Their choice not to respond likely means Daniels will push forward with her lawsuit against the NDA. It seems this storm is not likely to pass over Trump’s White House anytime soon.
Buckle up, Mr. President. Your legal problems are only just beginning.
