It’s only Wednesday and already Trump is having the worst week of his presidency. On Monday, his long-time attorney Michael Cohen was raided by the FBI; on Tuesday, a special election in Florida saw a surge in support for the Democratic candidate, nearly doubling Clinton’s numbers in the same county; today, James Comey made a startling comeback, comparing the President to a “mob boss.”
This morning, ABC released a teaser for an interview between George Stephanopoulos and former FBI director James Comey. Axios reports that a source present at the taping confirms the 20/20 special is “going to shock the president and his team.”
Comey’s first interview since he was terminated by Trump last may will, according to the same source, “certainly add more meat to the charges swirling around [the president].”
In the first few seconds of the clip, Stephanopoulos notes that Comey compared Trump to a mob boss, and the questions only get more salacious from there.
The best part? Comey reportedly answered every question asked of him, and “if anyone wonders if Comey will go there, he goes there.”
The appearance is technically a plug for Comey’s new book, A Higher Loyalty, due out next Tuesday. Still, the interview couldn’t come at a worse time for “President Deals” who seems to be visibly falling apart at the seams.
