Laura Ingraham just lost one of her biggest Fox News sponsors yet amid boycott defiance

- April 11, 2018

Amid a slew of high-profile departures from Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show after she opted to mock a Parkland shooting survivor comes the most recent company to jump ship.

In a brutal blow to the show, tech giant IBM has decided that it will no longer advertise on Ingraham’s show, becoming the latest business to walk away from the embattled conservative host.

“IBM no longer advertises on the show you referenced,” a spokesman for the company told TheWrap.

The top technology company joins the ranks of nearly two dozen other sponsors which have abandoned the Fox News host after her misguided attack on the 17-year-old over certain college rejections he’s received.

The boycott began when Hogg – along with the help of his friends, all of whom wield a lot of power with their social media followings – took to Twitter to demand Ingraham’s advertisers pull their sponsorship from her program.

As of now, IBM joins the likes of Allstate, Blue Apron, Slimfast, Bayer, Honda, Ruby Tuesday, Liberty Mutual, Office Depot, Nestle, Wayfair, TripAdvisor, Nutrish, Expedia, Joseph A. Banks, Hulu, Stitch Fix, Atlantis Bahamas, Jenny Craig, Miracle-Ear, and Johnson & Johnson in the high-profile boycott.

Amid the exodus, Ingraham did attempt to issue a half-hearted apology to Hogg.

Hogg, for his part, firmly rejected the transparent olive branch as a way to staunch the bleeding.

Fox News is learning the hard way that its constant lies, mockery, and fear mongering have no place in the national dialogue– and their dwindling bottom line is proof.
