Parkland survivor David Hogg just went viral with brilliant shot at the NRA

- April 21, 2018

Those who thought that the anger over Congressional inaction over gun regulations would dissipate a few weeks after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida have vastly underestimated the fervor and commitment of the activist student survivors of that tragedy.

With a few of the students now household names due to their brave defiance of the NRA — a lobbying organization dedicated to selling as many guns as possible and subsequently leaving a legacy of death and destruction in its societal wake — the movement to ban assault weapons, close loopholes in background checks, and take other sensible measures to reduce the availability of implements of mass murder has maintained its momentum and continues to frighten NRA-friendly candidates up for re-election in the upcoming midterm elections.

Parkland student David Hogg continued his crusade against the organization so vehemently opposed to seeing the students’ vision of safe, gun-free schools come to fruition with a tweet that trolled the NRA as mercilessly as the gun lobbyists aim to shoot and kill defenseless targets.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

Hogg sent out this hilarious GIF with a caption comparing the action on screen to how the NRA will react to the student anti-gun violence movement at the polls in November as the students’ drive to register as many 18-year-olds as possible for the election attracts an increasing number of newly-empowered voters.

The Parkland students have certainly been dogged in their activism, and we can only hope that their constant reminders to vote for supporters of gun regulations will seal the fate of the NRA this November. (Puns emphatically intended.)
